Mark D. Altenhof

Mark D. Altenhof was raised in Goshen, Indiana and is a 1987 graduate of Goshen High School.  In 1992 he graduated from Indiana University (Bloomington) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice.  In 2003, Mark graduated Cum Laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan where he received a concentration in litigation. While in law school, Mark served on Law Review, was a Features Editor for the law school newspaper, and received the Distinguished Student Award for his graduating class.


Prior to joining Chester Law Office, Mark served as deputy prosecuting attorney for nine years.  In 2008 the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence name him "Prosecutor of the Year" in the State of Indiana for his work in the area of domestic violence.  He is active in the Elkhart County Community, especially with the Elkhart County Women's Shelter.  In addition to personal injury litigation, Mark's practice includes nursing home negligence and wrongful death.


Mark is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, the Indiana Trial Lawyer's Association, the Elkhart Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice.
